America's Dairyland is well represented, here, there's at least eight (8) I can think of; @DriftlessRoots is the next nearest in Middleton.

I miss my garden in Waukesha County and of course I miss all the nice Wisconsinites. It is great state to grow tomatoes and raise a family.

I like it here also just a wee bit further north! But not near the Yoopers! That’s too much winter!

You's want NORTH? We spend a LOT of time in Iron County (~12m/19.3kms south of Gitche Gumee) across Weber Lake from Whitecap Mountain; heading back up on Wednesday https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Green+B ... ?entry=ttu
Hurley's adjacent to the Ironwood, MI and the U.P....but we won't go up before the middle of June nor after mid-September.

Nope, that's too close to the Yoopers! Visiting during the summer is fine. Living there, no thank you! Yoopers are a fine, hardy folk and they can deal with 12' of snow, thanks!

12'/3.7m? Heck...that's just a dusting, Gile, WI (10m/1.62kms from us https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Gile,+M ... ?entry=ttu) got over a third of that in a mere four (4) days.https://weather.com/storms/winter/news/ ... n-20141114
Glass half full?
Snow's just 'bout the last thing I'm thinking about, right now!

Mercifully, The Gotch isn't this slow on the uptake...always. I originally thought you's were referring to the numbers of Monster Tomatoes yer surreptitiously nursing to behemoth gigantesqueness (sic); it's now...um...clear yer referring to yer WESconsin domicile.

I'm harvesting cukes from the food pantry garden now. Pretty decent sized, all things considered! I'll have to take some pictures next time.

Say a bit about the Zapotec Oaxacan. You know, taste, production, etc.Cornelius_Gotchberg wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 4:28 pm The lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch sliced a superbly firm and seed/gel bereft Zapotec Oaxacan for a salad today:

Nothing like coming home to a good harvest! I'm sure you'll think of something productive to do with all of those huge zucchinis LOL.

Re: Jardín del Gotch
2nd season, got it free from delectationoftomatoes in 2023, and was impressed enough to make our "Hard To Crack" permanent rotation.
~90 DTM, RL, above average production with a mild, balanced, "tomatoey" (per the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch) taste.
Outstanding firmness; small seed cavities with minimal jelly and "sogginess" make it ideal for cold samitches.
Then there's that intoxicating shape, not unlike its doppelgänger, and another Jardín del Gotch fave, the Inzhir Rozovyi.
