Post not being Posted
I just spent several minutes typing a posting and hit submit. I see that it was never posted and I remember reading that if 2 people post at the same time that one is not posted. This is very irritating. My post must have been bumped and deleted.
On another forum I use there is a "save as draft" option that I have check marked in my profile and if something happens while I am trying to post, then the next time I open a reply in that thread my draft is shown to me and I am asked if I want to post it. This has saved me several times when the forum went down unexpectedly.
Do we have something like a Save Draft option here?

If you find that your post was not posted then what I do is to hit my back button. When I get to the page where I wrote the post, what I wrote still remains there and I just hit the submit again.

No but you do or should have an option.
It is called copy.
You can highlight and hit copy and then if the post gets lost you have it as backup.
I lost a post this morning too.

I hate to sound ungrateful but I was thinking more of an automatic draft saver.
I don't really want to save a draft of every post just in case it doesn't get posted.

It will automatically save your post every 20 seconds, you don't have to do anything and you'll see it save if you watch it close. You have to use the full editor to make that happen. I can disable the "quick reply" option so everyone is forced to use the full editor but it's not neccessary.

OK, I'll start using the Full Editor instead of just using the Submit button. Thanks for explaining that.

Re: Post not being Posted
I figured out the problem of losing post but it's gonna take a while to fix and I can't get to it now.
Apparently it's an option in the software but if you don't notice it, you'll lose a post. It comes set as default and I'll have to change every forum and subforum one by one. Here it is.
Enable post review:
If set to yes users are able to review their post if new posts were made to the topic while users wrote theirs. This should be disabled for chat forums.
I'm assuming this is in place of the usual message you get when posting and someone else posted while you were typing.

Re: Post not being Posted
today I had a new (second) screen pop up and it confused me and I reposted what I just posted... thankfully I found the delete post box and deleted it.
