My pup, Sam
I didn't know there was a pet section here
This is Sam, she's 3 months old, lab, heeler, aussie maybe, who knows what else. Supermutt. She's a really good puppy, when she's not being "too puppy".

She's gonna look a lot like this when she's grown. Don't let the lying down fool you, walking is 75 lbs of pull! The cat is her toy.

Re: My pup, Sam
What kind is she, Marsha? I think Sam's going to top out around 40 - 50 lbs, her mom was pretty little.
The cat looks like he doesn't mind being a toy.

Re: My pup, Sam
She's mostly Lab, and maybe Border Collie? One of her siblings looked very Border Collie. Luckily she has the laid back Lab personality, except when she sees another dog, she wants to go to it, and she's strong.
I've seen her very softly take the cat's whole head in her mouth and walk him a few steps, and when she stops, he pats her lip with his paw, like c'mon play some more! She does soft mouth things, she can take a whole raw egg outside to eat and not crack the shell.
Her name is Ella Fitzgerald.

Re: My pup, Sam
This is supposed to be Sam's parents, but I found "dad" in a google image search for "black lab" (he was a neighbor dog, they said). So he could be anything, but Sam is pretty "labby". Her mom was some mix of herding dogs. Heeler and aussie probably, maybe border collie. She was super sweet, I loved her.

Is Sam about 4 months old? That's about the time the ears will go up if they are going to, and also the time they shed those sharp deciduous teeth.

Re: My pup, Sam
She's only a little more than 3 months, born November 25, so I think her ears have time.
Her tiny sharp bitey teeth can go away any time.

Haha, start looking for it, they drop fast. (The teeth) Hmm I wonder if there is a doggy tooth fairy.

Re: My pup, Sam
Serious puppy envy here. She is gorgeous!
The ears and nice short black coat are much like our beloved farm dog Buddy. He was a big dog though, bigger than a Lab. Labradors are great dogs, very intelligent, but the herders are no slouches either!

4 months old, and still has the tiny shark teeth. She can drop those any time now. She's a good pup, very smart, very friendly.
