It's no joke! I finally learned to fence my little plots of vegetables and let the hares have the rest of the garden!

Those groundhogs sure do eat a lot. I hope that he is going to grow them a big garden because yes they will have 8 more mouths to feed. Ten groundhogs, he wont be able to keep them out of his own personal garden unless he builds a fortress starting from below ground.

It is quite kind of him to share. I know first hand how he can become attached to them. Gosh I even raised one from a baby when I was a kid and they are fun to watch too.

Sometimes I get groundhogs in the hottest part of the summer and I feel like they are thirsty so I put out a bowl of water at the edge of the unfenced portion of my garden. Believe it or not, it actually helps.

From observing those in my yard, they stay pretty close to home. I think the furthest I found them go was only about an acre away.

Of my gosh, that Jeep commercial is so funny. I adore the groundhog eating the vegetables. He is like a Disney character.

I don’t know if this is applicable to groundhogs but I have had a raccoon show up with 3 young offspring . Boy were they cute. They are hard to beat for cuteness. Anyway, They may come a couple times but then I never see the whole group together again. It’s not like they hang around and then they have their babies and before you know it you have 20 raccoons. Maybe they move off to find there own territory. Or maybe some predatory, 2 legs or 4 gets them.

I refer to wombats as tanks on legs, heads are solid bone and they have a big solid plate at the rear also. If they decide they are going somewhere you can't stop them. They show affection but biting, I carried scares for years from the one we had as a pet for a couple of years
