Growing Honeynut Squash Indoors
Ever since I've listened to the episode about the 898(honeypatch) squash from the podcast Gastropod, I've always wanted to grow my own very tasty squash. However, I was always unable to due to high pest pressure(squirrels) or lack of space. Now that I am a more experienced grower, I have undertaken the challenge of growing a winter squash indoors for fun. I have selected Cucurbita moschata "Honeynut" for its relatively compact growth habit and small fruit size.
It has been 36 says since it sprouted. The vine is currently 7ft long and I had just pollinated the first female flower. I have been aggressively fertilizing it and pruning it to only one vine. Overall, it seems that the plant is very healthy. Based off of my calculations from "Evaluating Mini-Butternut Cultivars in the Upper Midwest by Anne Carey and Ajay Nair", I should be able to at least obtain 1-2 small squash from my 1 square foot growing space.
Here are the progression pictures:

A 1 square foot growing space or a 1 foot square growing pot? If it's the pot, then how much space are you allowing your vine to grow in?

The growing space is only a 2ft by 0.5ft area including the pot and the lights. So the space is 1 square foot. I am coiling the vine around the pot.

Oh wow, this is going to be a fun experiment! Do you have any current pics of your plant and it's blossom? You have my interest!

Looking good so far! Nice choice of elongated container to fit your space. I will be interested to see if the pollen takes!
