Non-Members "Locked Out"?
I just sent my better half a link to a forum thread, and she said she couldn't read it without being logged in (she's not a member, she doesn't share the passion, only the tomatoes
). Is this an accidental or on-purpose change? In the past she could read threads, just couldn't see the pictures that are hosted locally. I mean even at T-ville you can still read the threads (even those of us who were rejected for membership
), even if you can't see the pictures.

@Setec Astronomy She should be able to read it. However, non-members do not have access to the Controversial forum or Area 51 as well as not being able to see pictures.

@Setec Astronomy Send me the link and I'll see why it's locked.

It was simply this one started by Sue_CT, because MissS brought a tear to my eye: viewtopic.php?t=4248
I did notice when I was on my laptop the other day that I couldn't see any posts either when I wasn't logged in, I presumed it was a temporary glitch.

@Setec Astronomy That thread is in Area 51 which is off-limits to the general public. They just get to see the gardening stuff the rest is shared with friends only.

I guess what I experienced is that the "New Posts" button no longer works unless you are logged in. Don't tell anybody but I sometimes used to do that at work to see what was going on here without logging in.

Re: Non-Members "Locked Out"?
Or maybe, like yesterday, when they were introducing a new hire to people and i had just *tried* to quickly fold in half and stuff into my mouth a terrible cafeteria tomato slice that turned out to be so woody it stabbed the roof of my mouth and so i then tried to quickly pull it out except that is the exact timing when they came and said my name so i turned around while looking like a bad magician pulling a soggy tomato-scarf trick out of my mouth in the most long and awkward way possible while some misinformed person was saying i was competent and a good go-to? That was embarassing.

Hopefully the new hire isn't into the first impression means everything.
