pole snap beans for hot hot summer?

I tried Rattlesnake. It did worse than Fortex Cross, which barely produced a handful. Meeks Running was ok. Red Noodle was spectacular, but my green-bean-loving partner won't eat them. I'm planning to try planting very early varieties, and planting them early.

Anyone else from a hot (90F+) summer area have success with a snap pole bean?

I can’t comment if it will do well in your area but I can recommend Kentucky Wonder pole beans.

Blue Marbutt did exceptionally well here in the heat. Fatman and North Carolina Long Greasy weren't far behind.

I believe Fortex Cross (unstable) is Blue Marbut X Fortex. If Darrel is around, he will likely respond. I didn't list Fortex Cross in the MMMM Beans thread. I have several selections, but it is all old seed (2013 and 2014).

If you like yellow. Monte Gusto was the most productive that I've ever grown. Produced right to frost without ever slowing down for the hit months.

Thai Purple Podded Long bean is one that produces through the hottest parts of my summer, when most short pole beans have stopped flowering. Chinese Red Noodle is another long bean that does well, but it is much later. Some don't like the flavor of long beans, but they taste fine to me. And they freeze well, too, keeping more of a crunch to them than green beans.
