NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
We're going to be changing from Tomatovillians to something else, so as not to have copyright issues.
So hold forth, 'villians, and propose a new name!
Still mulling over my first coffee of the day, all I can come up with so far is :
Tomatomavens

Together, trees make an ecosystem that tempers the extremes of heat & cold, stores lots of water, & makes a lot of humidity. In this environment, trees can live to be very old. To get to this point, the community must remain intact no matter what.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
I really like my tomato place but does the the name have to start with tomato to come up higher on searches in Google?

Change it if you want, but I don't think there is a copyright violation here. No lawyer is taking that case on contingency. Maybe $25k retainer and $350 an hour would get a nasty letter written.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
You're probably right but it's not worth arguing over. It doesn't matter what the name is since most members found the site already and I'll make a redirect from tomatovillians to the new name. To be honest I could(but won't) put tomatoville in the search tag to send to all the webcrawlers and bots. People will find it and the more tomatoville is posted here the easier it is for search engines to find and put this site on the front page of a search. I don't want to take anything away from TV, this wasn't planned. It happened from the closure announcement.Cole_Robbie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 10:32 am Change it if you want, but I don't think there is a copyright violation here.
