I'm getting close to mail in the next 10 days or so.

Spoiler list:
Tomatoes - 10 packs each unless noted, usually about 8-13 seeds/pack unless noted

Adora
Afternoon Delight
Bundaberg Rumball Dwarf
Carbon
Chocolate Pear
Dester
Dwarf Galen’s Yellow 3 packs
Dwarf Johnson's Cherry 5-8 seeds/pack
Empress GMO 25 packs of about 20-24 seeds/pack
(I started with about 6 plants, cloned some, but wish I had more. 'Last few survived a few frosts.)
Indigo Cherry Drops
Lovely Lush 2 packs (I was short on these seeds, but didn't see this on the master list)
Orange Peach 20 packs
Pink Jazz
Porterhouse (stabilized from hybrid, 16 packs, only one plant this year, but it is a great producer!)
Tropical Sunset 14 packs, one of my favorite cherry tomatoes

Peppers:
Orange Habanero 1 pack
Purple Beauty Bell 1 pack

Other:
Paw Paw tree seeds 1 pack, keep cool and moist, currently in my fridge, treated with 10% bleach to prevent mold
Egyption Walking Onion bulblets ( 1 or 2 packs, noticed the request, last yet to pack, not sure how to best wrap these)

Any interest in garlic chive seeds, or is this a weed for most folks? I eat them from early spring through late fall.
I also have some tall marigold seeds, yellow and orange if desired.
Egyptian Walking Onions bulbils should be packaged on a case by case basis. If freshly harvested, and packing dozens upon dozens of then, a sealed air-tight method likely should not be used. The moisture released from all of the bulbils usually causes them to both sprout green shoots and roots.

If they were harvested a couple of months ago, are now drier, and you're not sending that many, "maybe" a sealed bag. If there really isn't any smell to them, something breathable would be OK.

I have an interest in the garlic chives.

Marigolds are always welcome.

I am sending cover crop seeds:

Buckwheat
Lupine (think it's Sweet Blue)
Daikon Radish
Iron and Clay Cowpea
Sparky French Marigold

I think I put enough in each packet to cover 1 or 2 typical 4x8 garden beds. I am sending 10-15 packets of each, but if anyone wants more, let me know since I have more here.

Would anybody be interested in jicama/Mexican Jam bean seeds? It's an edible root that's crunchy, a little sweet, and stays kinda crunchy when you cook it but it can be eaten raw or cooked.

I will accept them sent in your package, but I will only send them out on special request.

My understanding is that ALL parts of the plant are POISONOUS other than the flesh of the tuber (seeds, vines, leaves, tuber skin, roots, etc...), and I will label them so.

I do the same for castor beans,

and hyacinth beans (which supposedly the poison can be cooked out of these).

Sent today: Red Penna (on the return request card that was included in my 2022 MMMM package). This is an excellent large red indet beefsteak -- delicious, meaty, healthy, productive, and not much catfacing/weirdness.

For those confused about the "Categories" part of the swap, Red Penna can go into three of the categories, Red, Beefsteak and Oldies But Goodies.

The Beefsteak category would be so large, I don't even list it by varieties. I usually just sort beefsteaks into categories of the various colors. And the Oldies But Goodies doesn't get a list either. They're not often requested, so such varieties get put into other categories. When participants do request OBG, I generally know which ones to pull from the other categories.

There are varieties that can go into 4 or 5 categories, but I'm not going there, for now.

Salvia Skyscraper- pink, Coral Nymph, Vista-red, Bodacious Smokey Jazz have constant attention from bees and Hummers. Feeders are near all the salvia and they hop back and forth. When the young birds flew the coop in early July it's been nonstop. Will start saving spent spikes for seed. I don't plant much seed myself but prefer to winter over cuttings. These explode when they go outdoors in spring. Got cuttings of Smokey Jazz this spring from a friend who started from saved seed. Hopefully seed will mature on the spike. This Smokey Jazz is a killer Hummer magnet.PXL_20240816_141015767.jpgPXL_20240816_141121676.jpgPXL_20240816_155327963.jpgPXL_20240816_155351584.jpg
Update on Salvia guaranitica hybrids. Skyscraper and Bodacious don't, can't or won't make seed. I suspect these proprietary hybrids are being bred to be sterile. The calyx looks as though seed is forming but doesn't separate. I saved a few that might pop but not enough to send in. I carry over clones and clone these again in Feb for my plant outs. These hybrids are available at a local greenhouse I trade with. He grows a dozen or so guaranitica hybrids but of course not from seed. Liners can be had but only in bulk.

I will be replenishing SunGold and SunSugar, again. I purchase these in a bulk quanity so that you can enjoy a discount on some of the best cherries out there. We are requesting a $1.00 donation for each pack. The money that you send in is to help replenish the seeds for the following years. Getting the donation has not been easy. This is not a sustainable offer unless you all help and pitch in. If you are in a tight spot, we are more than happy to help you. If not, then please don't take advantage of the offer, send in $1.00 to help cover the cost of the seeds.

Thanks for your understanding and enjoy!

Hi Patti - Thank you once again for organizing this group purchase. We had a very long, hot, sunny growing season. Sungold , Sunsugar, (and Esterina ) produced like crazy despite the over 90 degree temps and were growing well beyond the bounds of their large cages. I wander over and snack on a few every couple of minutes, with dirty hands, while I work outside. These are basically why I grow tomatoes. I used up the last of my stock over sowing older seed which of course all germinated.

I had the same issue with Black Jungle Butterbean. I received my seeds from Harry Dodge (GW:Flintnapper) back in 2010. I think Harry was the original distributor, and also named the bean. I also think these beans don't like cool/cold temps. Harry lived in Florida, where they grew quite well.
