Sent PM's end up in the "outbox" rather than the 'Sent" folder?

Sent PM's end up in the "outbox" rather than the 'Sent" folder?
Is the process that the original PM goes into the Outbox until it has been read,and then goes to the Sent folder?

@Shortcut Slim yes you are correct. A PM will go into your 'outbox' until the recipient opens it. Once read, it will then move into your 'sent' folder.

Thank you @MissS . Not all forum software does that. I like that you can see that your PM has been read. Other forum software often offers "read receipts" as an option,but I find this more "friendly".
