The next sized up from the green june beetle is the grape beetle. They come in these two shades, around here. Not sure why.

Before this morning I had seen only two or three hummingbirds at a time. Today many more arrived. They were active very early.

Bush beans are looking good, plenty of blooms. I’m leaving the okra on the plants to dry for seed. If I get a surplus, I’m squeezing the excess for the oil.

Lots of sprouting going on. Peas, lettuce, kale, endive, bok choi, radish, plus others. I love watching seedlings pop up!

Re: Random and miscellaneous garden photos
Yesterday morning I noticed a monarch caterpillar in the "j" shape, and I knew it was possible that it was going to form a chrysalis very soon. So I observed it and got some photos of the transformation taking place. The caterpillar had attached itself to a stem of a Mystic Spires salvia.
