Never considered this to be a real word, lol. I thought it was just a sound or exlamation people made, lol.

Re: Wordle
Middle English and Middle French origins, this Wordle word today. English is just a hodgepodge of other languages anyway.

Re: Wordle
That is kind of a spoiler if you haven't done it yet today, but mine was a hint too.
I am going to have to be careful, I usually check in here to see how people are finding the days word before I do it in the morning, lol. I try to remember not to do that if I don't get to it until later in the day for some reason, though.

Actually made a list of possibilities and included iI in the list for 3. Thought too it might be more slang so discounted it until 4 when it seemed the only possibility. Fantastic to get it in 3 SpookyShoe!!!

@svalli
I think you do remarkably for someone whose English is a second language. But your English knowledge is exceptional and you often put many of us to shame in this game. Some of these words are hard for us too at times! I canβt imagine playing this in Finnish, one of the hardest languages we have encountered. We had a Finnish exchange student for a year and the only thing we could remember after that year was how to say Merry Christmasβ in Finnish! And my DH and I were both German teachers so learning new foreign words was easier for us than most people.
So keep up the good work!

Re: Wordle
Thanks @Gardadore
My advantage is that not only have I lived in USA for many years, but I do still have to use English at my work everyday. I find this Wordle to be good practice, even it has limited vocabulary.
I was stuck in today's word for a while and was going to give up, even I had already the first two letters figured out and one which had two places to go. I was tempted to try to find some help online, but I would have been cheating to myself and that is stupid, so I rather give up for the day or try again in the evening.
