Re: The Junction's 2022 Largest Tomato Contest
I ended up with two copies of the book that I posted earlier in this thread (long story, but USPS shipping to HI sometimes goes like that). Would anyone like it for the cost of shipping? Probably around $5, just let me know.
Also, any interest in a thread outside of this one to discuss how some of you experienced folk have grown large tomatoes before?

Re: The Junction's 2022 Largest Tomato Contest
I'm not what you'd call experienced, but I've grown some out of the ordinarily large tomatoes, with varieties that aren't known as Record Breakers.
I'd enjoy sharing and reading what others have done.
My experience is that water is the trick. Tomatoes are big red water balloons after all

Is this at all like the Procrastination Club that hasn't scheduled a meeting yet? May be the Forgetful Club forgot where they are supposed to meet?
What were we talking about?

In this club, I'm the founding member, or not, as I can't remember if I am, or not.

I'll think about it tomorrow, whatever it was, and BTW, just who are you again? Who was that masked man? There is some woman in my kitchen and she just pulled some homemade bread out of the oven, so I'ma cut some!

The season is ON! I have started a topic in the Glogs forum for all of you to post your grow logs for your Giant Tomatoes. This is going to be fun to watch and I can't wait to see how these plants perform!

Re: The Junction's 2022 Largest Tomato Contest
I just wanted to share a thought that I had for those with some hefty tomatoes growing this year. We all seem to have a surplus of face masks. These would be great to use as a hammock for some of those really big ones that will need some support.

Re: The Junction's 2022 Largest Tomato Contest
@jmsieglaff now has the largest tomato of the 2022 growing season. He is in first place with a 2.2lb Domingo. I gave out some pretty expensive seed for competition tomatoes this year. Let's see some logs of how your plants are doing!

Re: The Junction's 2022 Largest Tomato Contest
@MissS did you mean to @ someone else? I unfortunately don't have any 2.2 lb tomatoes. I am getting a couple microdwarf cherries however and they are delicious!
