What's cooking, for Easter?

I would eat lamb but it's to expensive.

Mom used to cook leg of lamb for my grandmother when when she came for dinner but I never liked it. I did like the home made mint jelly that she also made to go with it though.

They had lambchops up in Prudhoe Bay one year.
They were horrible.
So dried out you could replace gunpowder with them.
I like to cook lamb over screaming hot coals with fire leaping up searing the fat and meat.
Just until medium rare.
Salt and black pepper for spice.

Well I definitely might've cooked lamb if anyone was coming to dinner. But too true the price is beyond prohibitive at this point. So many options for that amount of cash. They have pretty much priced it out of the market.

I am having grilled lamb chops for Easter with au gratin potatoes and asparagus. When our large family used to gather we would have a leg of lamb or ham.

Well it snowed so the lamb chop was broiled and not grilled. Still it was delicious.

Ham, deviled eggs, scalloped potatoes, and lots of horseradish. A nice lager to wash it down. Superb!
