That's an all to familiar situation in many bars restaurants and nightclubs.
Leaving the only emergency exit out the front door.
I actually stopped going to a restaurant when they remodeled and walled off the emergency exit.

This post came up on my "Memories" in facebook from 9 years ago today. Its a bit of a long read but it was a bit of a long day. The memory of this day is still fresh, lol.

How do most people make a grilled Romaine salad? Cut the romaine, drizzle with olive, sprinkle with salt and pepper, 30 secs on each side on the grill, drizzle with dressing. How does SUE make grilled Romaine salad?
1. Prepare Romaine as above.
2. Light grill, go check out tomato plants while its heating up to see if anything is ripening.
3. Bring lettuce to grill, open and say "bad ord" because propane ran out.
4. Locate spare propane tank still in back of car because I forgot to stop and get it filled yesterday (and the day before, and the day before...)
5. Call and find place who will fill tanks on Sunday afternoon. Luck is turning.
6. Answer phone, really Mom? Town police alert there is an 8 foot Boa Constrictor loose in town. Where is this dangerous part of Town? Oh yay, just down the street. Postpone trip and check where cat is.
7. Watch town police cruisers, Animal control and NBC news go by in pursuit of a Boa Constrictor.
8. Watch Animal control leave neighborhood. Hmmm
9. Yup, Boa Constrictor is now secure. Off to Revays (local nursery) for Propane! Yay, pretty hungry now, finally will get lunch soon!
10. Inside Revays, someone who can fill propane tanks found. Skies open up, torrential down pour. Of COARSE I wouldn't dream of you going out into that to fill my tanks. Wait, mingle and make conversation until storm passes.
11. YAY, have 2 full tanks of propane and Romaine is ready! Hook up to grill, but little white plastic washer inside propane connector breaks and falls out. Doesn't look too important, but I will check for leaks just in case. Nope, no gas leaks.
12. Grill won't light. Reconnect and retighten connection several times. No luck. Will probably need to replace part on Grill. Home depot will still be open.
13. Get adjustable wrench to loosen and remove gas hose. Won't budge. Get fixed wrench that I can hit with a hammer to loosen nut and vent frustration while saying some bad words . No wrench American or metric that will fit. "Bad word" again.
14. Get cold lettuce, put dressing on it and eat 3 hrs later while watching NBC 6 pm news story regarding a loose Boa Constrictor.
15. Shop for new grill online...
