Possible to change (viewing) text size?
Is it possible to make the general viewing text larger? The default can be quite small and difficult when viewing on a phone or tablet. Is there a setting for this? I couldn't find it. I did find "tiny ... huge" setting when entering a new post, but that doesn't seem to affect general viewing.
Another question -- is it possible to turn off the general notifications? Not notifications of PM, but the general notifications of "xxxx quoted you" etc.

Growing pains from the name change. We'll get there!!!
Bigger text depends on the age of your device, cell or tablet.
On my cell, I turn it sideways, the screen is bigger and if you scroll to the top there's a menu at the far right that will let you adjust the size.
I have an old tablet and it only has the manual setting in the setting area.

OK, I've got the notifications shut off and I have the text marked BOLD, so that helps a lot!
But how can I get rid of the old notifications that were already posted? I've marked them READ, etc. but nothing makes them go away. Surely you would not want them to hang around forever eating up space. (?)

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
The notifications clear when I click mark read. Do you see a pop up saying it been cleared when you click mark read? You can try loggin off and back in, maybe that will clear the browser. If that doesn't work, scroll to the bottom of the page and click clear Board Cookies. Let me know if that helps.
Did you see the larger text option I installed? It's posted here. viewtopic.php?p=3068#p3068

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
Hi-
No, On my Android phone no notifications are shown at all. Using Firefox or Edge browsers (with the computer), the notifications do not do anything after "Mark Read." I've tried checking them individually and as a group. They just stay there. The check marks do clear, though.

I have a Galaxy S7 and it shows a bell icon for notifications and I get more menu items if I turn it sideways. It could be your browser settings, maybe check if there are any settings about refreshing or something similar.

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
It could be that on my phone, it is handling the notifications correctly and they don't show up since they were all marked read. It is not the browser cache, though (I think), since I had never used the Edge Browser with TJ, and they showed up just like on Firefox (my default browser). Sounds like I need to try Chrome and if that fails, to just ignore those old notifications.

If you're on a laptop or desktop, just hold down the Control (Ctrl) button while using the scroll function on your mouse. It will instantly make your font larger or smaller to meet your needs.
No clue on a phone. Still a noob there.

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
I was having difficulty with the way the page looked on a laptop.
It was narrow about 6 inches or so wide and a grey space on each side about 2 1/2 wide.
Did the control+mouse scroll thing and just the letters got bigger or smaller.
Totally forgot about the history and tool bar at the top left hand corner.
Looked at view and saw zoom setting was on text only.
Clicked it off and now the page can be zoomed out to the screen size.
Firefox is the browser.

Worth, do you ever use Chrome? I am wondering how I can do that in Chrome. I increased Font size to 105% and that small change made all the difference for me, but I still have to look at those grey borders on both sides.

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
I use Chrome and changed the zoom to 125% by clicking the browser menu at the top right, those 3 dots. It enlarges the screen with only small side boarders but it makes it easier to read.
You can also go to UPC(user control panel) and change the font to all bold, that makes a big difference.
You can also go to Chrome Settings, Appearance, enlarge the Page Zoom to 110%.
While there change the Font Size to Large or Very Large, also click Customize Fonts, change the font size to 24 using the slide bar and change the Minimum Font Size to 18.
All comps react different to these settings so you'll have to play with all those setting till you find out what works for you.

Re: Possible to change (viewing) text size?
Thanks, Rajun, great help. I changed the zoom so I have no grey boarders at all and changed it back to normal on the forum and it is plenty large enough. I might even go back to some small borders like you did.
