Largest Tomato Photo Contest 2020-2023
Let us see that monster tomato that you have grown. Sitting on a scale would be appreciated.

Pics on a scale to come! This is Goat Bag, just pulled this fruit today as it was blushing. There are about 6 other lunkers still on this vine, I'll post those up when I get them!

That’s a whopper! Spartanburg123 Neat looking tomato, too. Goat Bag? Going to have to look that one up. Is that a variety that you have grown before?

Howdy, I obtained these seeds from Renaissance Farms. This is my first time growing them! The flavor is supposed to be excellent, and particularly for sauces.karstopography wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 3:45 am That’s a whopper! @Spartanburg123 Neat looking tomato, too. Goat Bag? Spartanburg123 My last tomato seed order was from them. Got a bonus pack of Linda’s Faux with my order. Saw the Goat Bag on their website, but must have overlooked it when I placed my order. Yours looks way better than their photos of Goat Bag do. Hard to nail down just what to order when there are so many choices. Renaissance has a lot of interesting varieties and a love for heart shaped tomatoes. Thanks for sharing.

Curtis is a tomato expert grower and is a fantastic human being as well, he has some really great seeds on there. Goat Bag is definitely unique, let's see how it looks regarding flavor.karstopography wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 7:35 pm @Spartanburg123 My last tomato seed order was from them. Here are some cut pictures- very meaty, excellent flavor, almost no seeds! One of the fruit I am naming "Goat Butt", and you can see why

Spartanburg123 Those are some very big tomatoes. Did the Goat Butt taste as good as advertised?

Re: Largest Tomato Photo Contest 2020
It's certainly no record breaker, but this is the biggest tomato I've grown to date in this lifetime. Was supposed to be Hawaiian Pineapple, but didn't look much like the reference photos I've seen as it ripened.
Whatever it is, it was very tasty and seeds have been saved.

Now 2021, but this is my largest of this season, so far. Hillbilly Potato Leaf and there’s another one on the same plant that could be bigger.

KBX at 1lb 11 oz, the biggest I had the last years, since I grow in containers.

It's been kind of quiet in this thread for a few months, so I will add a picture of a 22 ounce Indian Stripe that I picked this morning...

Re: Largest Tomato Photo Contest
My first beafsteak types to ripen this year. I was expecting a different color. Let me know if my suspicions are correct.
PS
These ripen on the counter FAST. The one on the right is just as ripe as the one on the left today. That's a change in just one day.
