Still getting the annoying photo orientation issue until you click on it.
Really wish there was a solution for that!

Very nice! @PlainJane When did you start your peas and beets? My sugar magnolia snap. peas are up about 2-3’ now.

I’ve yet get decent beets. Those are really nice. I might once and for all give up on beets, but I might still continue to try. Timing could be an issue.

Nothing better than fresh from the garden salad greens. I grew a lot of lettuce and salad greens this cool season and it’s been a bright spot, literally and figuratively, this go around.

Nice carrot. Looks very much like a St Valery.

I’ve grown cauliflower and gotten fairly good white and dense heads at times, but even then the bang for the garden space has been underwhelming.

Lots of garden vegetable options for us along the 30° north parallel in the winter. I’m getting better about organizing my beds so that the cool season vegetables are gradually phased out over the late winter into spring. I enjoy the cool season stuff every bit as much as the warmer weather crops.

@karstopography, I put the peas, carrots and beets in last November. I had a fabulous cauliflower crop again this year but my mistake was starting seeds all at the same time. I grew Clementine (orange), Purple Crush and Vita Verde. I had some happy neighbors and coworkers as I couldn’t keep up with it.

I planted Fava beans in a somewhat shaded spot and got a few over the winter but they’re blooming like crazy now. Carrots planted were Naval F1 and Dragon, from pelleted seed. The one I pulled must be a Naval.

Thinking about starting some cukes and squash next weekend.

@karstopography same here on cool weather gardening. Much easier to grow November to March than it is June to November. April and May tends to be the sweet spot for me, which is tomatoes and more tomatoes.

Everyone finally tucked in around the raised bed area. My usual growing spot will be a construction zone at some point so I had to improvise.

Very nice! Is that 34 tomato plants? You should be covered up in tomatoes by June.

@karstopography, besides me and my neighbors there’s the local restaurant I donated to last year. We got together and they gave feedback on what worked especially well for them, hence some of the multiples. Should be interesting!
