Davids Garden
Today I was finally able to clear my winter stuff and put out my summer stuff. Unfortunately I been having some health issues for the better part of this year but I am finally feeling better and able to start tending to the garden again. So without further ado, here is what I got planted out today:
Tomatoes:
Siletz
Opalka
Azoychka
Aunt Ginnys Purple
Brandywine Sudduth
Eva Purple Ball
Stump of The World
Druzba
Salsa
Waratah
Mountain Magic
Rosella Crimson
Chefs Choice Red
Peppers:
Cherry Pick
Red Belgian Pepper
Melons:
Honey Rock
Sugar Baby
Faerie
Squash
Raven
Rouge Vif d’Etampes Pumpkin
Red Kuri
Others:
Beurre De Rocquencourt Bean
American Dream Corn
Beit Alpha Cucumber
The pictures show my 3 main beds but I have planted stuff between trees and pots too, pretty much anywhere I had the space.

It’s rough to keep up a garden when life throws stuff at you. Glad you’re able to start doing again.

Looks like you must have some favorites you grow each year. Hope you have a bountiful season!

Re: Davids Garden
Thanks for all your kind words!
This year I'm only planting seeds I already had on hand, plus two extras my neighbor gave me. I'm hoping they'll germinate despite most being over 5 years old.Homegrwoninillinois wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 7:56 pm Looks like you must have some favorites you grow each year. Re: Davids Garden
@DavidO 5 year old tomato seeds are still very viable. You should not have any problems as long as they were dried out properly.

Re: Davids Garden
Quick update: All the seeds germinated successfully! Just finished thinning them out today. Really excited to get them transplanted outside in about a month or so. Thanks everyone for the encouragement - it's good to be back gardening again!
