Looking for purple galaxy seeds

Does anyone have purple galaxy seeds? I called Baker Creek and they divested themselves from all the seeds. I contacted Norfolk Biosciences and they were out. I asked them to just sweep their lab and I’d take anything that fell on the ground. I’m trying to increase the lycopene in my diet.

Thanks!

Don’t think that’s the name now since after the drama. @BurgundySnail is growing it, maybe ask them.

There are other natural veggies with lycopene. Red tomatoes have lycopene; they're one of the highest containing the antioxidant. Tormado is correct, sun dried ones are an excellent source. They don't need to be purple, it's it red ones that have the most. Red carrots. Red cabbage. Pumpkins. Watermelon. Even fruit has lycopene.
Be careful though you can overdose the lycopene in your body.

sun-dried tomatoes
My job as a child was to take care of the tomatoes drying on the kitchen porch roof. South facing and on old sheets, it was my job to get up on the roof several times a day and rearrange the tomatoes. Covered up at night and boxed up and brought down if there was a chance of rain. Stored in gallon Mason jars filled with oil and other spices, oil was expensive so it was reused. If I can remember we did this 3 times a year, maybe 4.

Ken you can use the tools in the top right corner to edit and delete your posts. The pencil is used for editing and using the X will delete it.

There is a lot of information on how to use the forum at the bottom of the home screen under 'Tutorials'. If you need more info then we are here to help!

There is supposed to be an Orca-load of that variety coming into the swap. I will try to research the patent to see what people can legally do with the seeds, other than maybe a few likely flushing them. ;)

Thank you @MissS It has happened twice when I try to Submit a post and "a notice comes up saying that someone else has posted and that I might want to revise my post". No big deal, I just delete everything and type in "double post" Did not realize the X would delete the post, if I understand you right. Thought I had read the "Tutorials", evidently just not close enough.

From the Norfolk Plant Sciences website:

"Will my Purple Tomato fruit make seeds? If I save the seeds, will they be viable and will the plants be the same Purple Tomato plants?

Yes, this variety will produce fruit with seeds. The seeds will be viable and will produce Purple Tomato plants. Growers can save the seeds and enjoy the plants and fruits in your home garden and with your local community. The same Terms and Conditions apply to future generations."

The Terms and Conditions are:

"*Seeds, fruit and plant material are only allowed in the USA.

*The seeds are a patented variety and are sold to enjoy in your home garden and with your local community.

*No sales of fruit, seeds or plants are permitted in this agreement, including any derived varieties."

It disappoints me that people are actually growing that GMO junk right in their backyard. Please don't ever share any of those seed with me, they'll go straight to the trash.
