At the quarter pole, The Gotch retakes the lead with another Big Zac:

While watering I caught a glimpse of that monster hiding behind this runt:
Stopped EVERYTHING to cut brush, break trail, bust sod, and trim foliage to secure it, worrying the whole time it might fall and explode! The Gotch

I guess that it would be Dec. 31, 2023. I hope that your friend is up to the challenge! He will need lots of compost.Mark_Thompson wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 4:19 pm @MissS When is the official close date of the 2023 contest? ERRATUM: Both the above are Guido Heirlooms.
It's next to four (4) Big Zac plants, which contributed to this grievous identification error.

If anything, that BEAST is undersized due to our Extreme Drought conditions.
ZERO rainfall in August thus far, the last moisture anything got was an early morning hosing on the first before we left town; took me ~ three (3) hours to water everything yesterday.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think @karstopography is still sitting at 2-06, the rest of us peasants are still just wrangling over second place…

I'm just pulling out of a quarter turn and fully anticipate crossing the finish line in1st place. I didn’t enter this horse race for no stinkin participation trophy..
