Howdy from Pennsylvania
Hello. Thank you for letting me join! My name is Darlene. Since I live on our wooded acreage in the center of Pennsylvania, I'm using the screen name WoodSprite.
I use to be big-time in to flower and veggie gardening. Tomatoes, especially heirloom tomatoes, were my favorite thing to grow. Even though I'm the only one in my household that likes tomatoes, I use to grow 9-15 different varieties each year because I loved discovering the flavors and uniqueness of each variety. My favorites were.
Juane Flamme
Eva Purple Ball
Matina
Green Zebra
Black From Tula
Gardener's Delight
Due to taking out those gardens, selling that house, building a new house that took far too long (years), moving and health issues that kept me down for six more years and counting, it's been way too long since I've had garden other than a few test raised beds for the last 3 years. This year we've been working on installing the rest of my raised beds (made from 2-foot tall x 6-foot diameter stock tanks) and are almost done. I am so excited and looking forward to having a decent garden again! I'm also excited about starting my own plants from seeds again.
I've been looking for gardening groups to join and stumbled on this one. I'm thrilled to join and am looking forward to getting to know all of you, learning and sharing.

Welcome to the Junction Darlene. I'm so glad that you found this site. It is still very young and growing as are your new gardens. There is a wealth of information among us so ask away. Veggie seeds seem to fly around this place so if you are looking for something just ask and you will have a few people offer to send you some.
Looking forward to hearing about your gardening adventures. Come on in and have some fun.
