White Mold and bugs on Radish Roots??

Somebody help me out here; when I was pulling up my remaining radishes in my raised bed/box some of them had a lot of white mold and what looked like grubby aphids on the bulbs! Was the mold caused by too much rain? The dirt is heavy sand plus miracle gro soil. What should I do before I plant anything else in the box?

These look like Root Aphids to me. The mold would be caused from the sap from the aphids

Root aphids! Never heard of such but figures there would be another new problem I have to watch out for.
