I am the same as Patti. Three pounds of bacon i the fridge but no ripe tomatoes. I do have a couple starting to blush. We always have tomatoes by this time, but not this year. We were a couple weeks late getting them out this year.

Is it too late to ship flat rate boxes full of tomatoes all around America? Alas I think it might be…

We have a ripe, if undersized, Radiator Charlie/Mortgage Lifter (left) and a smallish Boxcar Willie (DISCLOSURE: SEVERE BER on its underbelly) in the ON DECK CIRCLE

@Mark_Thompson; if yer sending anything this way, would a pallet of Pineapples be asking too much...?

I guess we jumped the gun as we had BLTs for lunch today. I sliced a Daniel Burson and a Creole and we used homemade bread. BUT.... I think I can be persuaded to repeat that on the 22nd! :D

I'll do my best because it's this coming Sunday.
Obviously someone from up north came up with the date.

The lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch (who abhors store-boughten Tomatoes) has informed her adoring husband that if he has designs to relocate any of those two, that he ought back his bags before he leaves...

Actually, the BLT date seems on the early side for the middle to late May transplant tomatoes into the garden schedule that tends to prevail in the upper midwest, parts of the mid-Atlantic and of the Northeast.

The date might be a bit late for lower parts of the Deep South, at least most of Florida, south Texas, maybe South Louisiana.

My BIL in Southlake just north of DFW is in the heart of his tomato harvest.

All this talk about Tomatoes & bread & somesuch, no one's regaling us with tales of their Holy Grail Bacon.

Anyone who hasn't given Nueske's (Wittenburg, WESconsin!) a shot is missing the boat! https://www.nueskes.com/store/bacon/

My dad would vote for Daily’s bacon. https://www.dailysmeats.com/story/
I just did a search and found that Daily’s Bacon is available in the next town over from here.

Nueske's was Carolyn Male's bacon of choice. She ordered some other favorites from there as well. My Costco got Nueske's in last year and I bought 15 lbs for the freezer, so I'm just waiting on that tomato.
