That's a nice crop of garlic! It should get you through the winter.

Re: Harvesting Finished
Dang I just posted in another thread about vampires and here you only guarded one door?
How long are you hanging in the garage like that? Mine should be coming out soon, I'm thinking I should improve my drying and curing methods. What is your drying schedule like?
I should probably pick before the next rain.

Re: Harvesting Finished
@GoDawgs This year I grew Chesnok Red, Deerfield, Duganski, Georgian Crystal, Metechi, Music, German White, Red Russian, Siberian, Silver Rose, and Svea. I also grew a few varieties that I do not know the names of.
@JRinPA It seems that normally I under dry and over clean. Right now I have a big fan blowing 24/7 on the garlic. I move the garlic around on the door so they get even air flow. For each variety I will wait until they have lost all their green color and then wait two weeks longer before cutting the stem four inches from the head. I will do no additional cleaning.

Re: Harvesting Finished
Thanks. I maybe need to improve upon the last couple years of just hanging on the carport in dry otherwise ambient temps and humidity. Got 1/4" rain in a downpour today, but I should probably get them out soon, especially the broken scapes.
I like the looks of the mid level, right side, the nice red ones. Top left are a little...intimidating? LOL.
