Anyone playing this new game? I played for the first time today. You can only play once a day. You have to guess the 5 letter word of the day in 6 tries with no hints. It took me 4 tries. I enjoyed it.

I just played for the first time a few minutes ago. It took me six tries. Apparently there's an "easy" mode and a "hard" mode, so technically there are two ways to play.

Wow the game is only a few months old and there are already knock offs with a different 6 letter version. I will have to try some others another time. Glad you are all enjoying it.

I played a month’s worth or more from the archive list. Haven’t yet guessed the word on the first try. Failed to solve two in the alloted six tries so far. One of those, I had 4 out 5 letters in the green after the second guess, missed that correct middle letter on every guess.

Having trouble with today, lol, still working on ist. I have 3 of 5 letters and I just can't see it yet. I also have not figured out how they would handle double letters like T in leTTer (I know that is 6 letters, lol). Spookyshoe I am right where you were on your 2nd guess, I have the same 3 letters.

Just got it, lol! Still at 4 tries though.

I got every one I tried until yesterday. Today, back on track!
Thanks for the archive link. Sometimes one is not enough.
There are tips online about words to begin with but I've never looked. Anyone got any favourites?

I started by detailing my strategies so far then decided it would not be any fun if we starting using the same stratagies and playing the same way, lol. But no, I haven't really played enough yet to find any favorites.

One thing is that getting a few green letters in the first 3 rounds isn’t necessarily a good thing, that’s been my experience.

I’ve tried using words with a lot of the vowels on the first guess, but it doesn’t always work out as planned.

I now generally go with the first 5 letter word that comes to mind and let the chips fall where the may.

It bad when I can’t think of a single word to incorporate all the yellow or green letters. That’s when I know I need to stop.

Previously it had taken me 4 Wednesday and 5 yesterday. If I quit now, after getting lucky, if anyone asks if I do Wordle I can say,"Oh yes, a lot of fun. I got it in 2 the last time I played."

This is the reason I quit playing golf in the mid-90s after playing a few times and then getting a hole in one. When asked if I play golf I say, "A little. In fact I got a hole in one the last time I played."

I completely forgot to include one of the yellow letters yesterday which is why I was having trouble with it. Once I realized it, I got it right away. Sometimes I just don't pay enough attention to what I am doing, lol. Haven't tried yet today, but I will. I am enjoying this.
