Random Images of Where We Live
I enjoy seeing incidental things in people's photos, like the Spanish moss in the trees behind Spookyshoe's geese. Landscapes and other people's views where they live gives us a bigger picture of the world we live in. Sometimes I come across random shots in my collection that I'd like to share but no appropriate spot for them so...
Our murky soft-lit winter days on the coast.

This is a beach where we go to set seaweed for the garden. I have often been surprised when people stopped to ask what I was doing.
Uhh, would you believe Sushi?
I still remember reading a story about east coast early farmers taking their drays down onto the beach to gather seaweed for their farms. I grew up in Ontario, far from any ocean.

Winter at a tidal river mouth where the water level changes throughout the day leaving ice high and dry.

We have a cabin 125 miles from where we live and this pic was taken there. Note: we no longer put out corn for the animals. This was when we first owned the cabin and I bought a game camera

I can walk to my subdivision park from the house in under 10 minutes. It's a popular place for people to launch their boats and have picnics. Every spring there's a crawfish boil. Photos taken in late January.

Re: Random Images of Where We Live
Today was finally sunny and not too cold, so I went walking on the frozen sea. We live about half a mile from the shore and I walked through some smaller streets in our subdivision. It was so beautiful and calm weather to enjoy the bright sun light and snowy landscape.
There were quite many people taking advantage of the great weather and hiking, skiing and snowmobiling on the ice.

I like to look at photos from other regions, where I will never get. I hope this thread continues.

How about a picture if we only live here part of the year?

Nanooknorth I would think it acceptable. Sure does look beautiful. Have you found the place where there is no-one except you ?

I just realized the reason for Worth's comment, when reading the news about weather. Unbelievably cold so south

Historical cold, freezing rain, and sleet in Texas. This is Seabrook Marina and Shipyard. When we had a sailboat this is where we docked the boat.
