cucumber clone

Hello everyone and thanks in advance. I have a doubt, every season I make clones of some tomato plants, because of some sick leave and it works very well for me. And my question is, can you clone the cucumber plant? Has anyone done it? Thank you

You can definitely clone them! This didn't do as well as the ones on the trellis, but I wasn't expecting it to. I still got a generous number of cukes from it.

I did one today.
The donor started to send out a feeler and I decapitated it and just left the crotch and 1 small leaf to plant.
Last year 1/2 my plants were clones.

I never tried a long term procedure.
That is; cloning now and trying to keep the plant alive until next year indoors.
I have a volunteer that popped up in the garden and want to save it til next year.
In case the seed saving is a failure.
I don't know how long the plants will live as house plants.

The precious wild plant I cut the end off that had 1 leaf and a baby cuke.
I don't want to jinx myself but it is still alive after 1 week.
I would mist the leaf during the day to keep it from drying out.
Hopefully the energy is going into the cuke.
No sign of any new attempt at leaf/plant growth.

I planted a cuke.
Not a seed,but the actual cuke.
The clone cuke was distressed and had the white zits that normally break out in drought conditions.
The zits seem to be setting out tiny hair like roots vs spines.
I surrounded the cuke in wet potting soil and will check on it in a couple of weeks.
Never did that before, so it should be fun.
