Blackberry Lily

Anyone else grow these? They remind me of the Toad Lily but they need at least 6 hours of sun per day. Toad Lilies like shade all day.
They don't seem to have pests and deer don't like them. If you let them drop seed (they have shiny black seed) hence the name blackberry lily they will multiply, but are not invasive.

I received seeds this past Christmas, and now have little plants growing out back. Probably not getting any flowers this year.

I grow them. I adore them. They are easy and carefree and the hummingbirds use them too.

I have them and love them. They provide color when many other perennials are finishing blooming. I must remember to start planting the seeds around more. Mine don’t seem to reseed on their own.

We have several groupings in our yard. We live in the house formerly occupied by my wife's mother and her mother and some of the Blackberry Lilies are at least several generations old. The flowers look really nice in bunches and then the stems with the "blackberry" seeds make for great flower arrangements in the fall.
