It started raining shortly after 9 am, but I don't know how long it is going to last, and it's not heavy, yet. Just heavy enough to rise the humidity more, and it was already 85%, at 75°, when I got up, at about 8:20. Heavier rain supposed to come tomorrow.

Rainy and humid here too. Just the kind of weather your average disease fungus loves, but too rainy to treat the plants! We've gotten 2" over the past few days, with more due today. At least lately, the rains come over a few days, followed by a nice dry spell. That's better than it was in spring! Oy.

I have showers on the radar today but not a sprinkle has materialized at my location. More hot summer weather lately and in the coming days. Looks like Ernesto will track just south of land on Monday, but we're still in the cone, so expecting some rain and hopefully minor effects on the weather - the windy side of Ernesto is south of it, so unlikely to be an issue this time.

We've got a week of 100 plus weather.
The vehicle said 106 coming home.
I can't wait for the first cool front.

96° here. Heat Index 108°. This summer has been nothing like last summer’s heat. Next couple of days will be in the upper 90s if the forecast holds true, then a cool down towards the weekend. Looks like 80s in the forecast up ahead for early in September.

I explained to the young woman working with me why it was so hot this time of year even though the sun was on it's way back towards the south.
The earth is like a big cast iron skillet it takes time to cook down but retains heat so it doesn't take much to keep it hot once it is hot.
Y'all should look up what the temperature would be if the sun stayed down for 48 hours.
That's why I always thought The Game Of Thrones was stupid.

I love the hot weather. Never really had any issues with hot weather. That said, I’m glad it is finite and the temperatures will ease off as August approaches September.

How do you know someone likes hot weather.
Don't worry they'll let you know soon enough.
I frigging hate hot weather and right now I hate the sun.
It's like a blast furnace right now.
I feel like a sheet of steel under a cutting torch.

I would be happy if it got to 40 or 50 every night.
If I had my way I would outlaw the beach.

I got it from my Mom.

Couple inches of rain last night from Ernesto. I was awake during the night and the whole place was shrouded in blowing fog. Very damp this morning with the dewpoint over 20C and RH somewhere close to 95% although no longer raining. Surely a tropical vibe.
Even in the greenhouse there's nothing to water, the ground looks pretty damp, and I doubt there's any transpiration happening in this humidity.

I got up to 73° here today (!), and is supposed to get down to 56° overnight, and the humidity is very low. Something like the middle or end of September, according to the weatherman. Another couple of days forecast in the 70s, slowly going up to average mid 80s, but then above average again. I knew it was too good to last.
