if you can hold your breath

I wanted to take cuttings from a supersteak plant but it is infested with whitefly and aphids.
I submerged the cuttings in my rainwater bucket to see if I can get rid of the pests that way
before I put the cuttings in potting soil.

That might take care of the current problem but there are still eggs that will hatch.
I spray my plants with dish soap and water to drown the insects every other day for 3 treatments. That seems to get the newly hatched crawlies and put an end to the problem. Of course do not do this in direct sun or you will burn you plants. Morning and dusk are best.

In containers on the floor in the house spiders will make a web on the plants for an all you can eat buffet.
The supersteak tomatoes are still green even at this late date. 180 day tomato club.

I did it once...three times makes more sense. One spraying of soap knocked them back about 2 weeks.
Slugworth you are a glutton for punishment...seems like you have some tomato oddities every year. Did you get a good crop from any of the tomatoes this year?

Land of steady habits.
The only ones that reach my mouth on a consistent basis are the Bloody butchers I planted late in clumps.
I am still picking and the plants are still nice and green.
The sundried tomatoes I planted are still green and all different sizes.
Supersteak I bought seeds yesterday for next year.
The Goliath plant croaked and 2 tomatoes are golf ball size.
Bush Goliath still has green tomatoes. My wispy foliage plants still have green tomatoes after 120 days.
The wispy isn't really wispy but miniature RL type foliage.
The baptized cuttings died, they had the sauteed' look after 2 days under water.

The bloody butchers were from saved seeds labeled puny.
Some have the proper 5 chambers and others are puny 2 chamber specimens on the same plant.
