I remember the big "to do" a few years back on their methods. I am surprised they lasted so long. I went to the site and it is mostly gone but still remains the request for joining the group by sending them money. So many "good" places on the net how they lasted is a mystery.

Gee, I considered the W.T.S. to be a scam of sorts after I joined up last spring. You have to pay, but their info is available elsewhere at no cost. Let me add: I am not a cheapskate, I don't mind paying for stuff and am not looking for a free ride.

In their list of heirloom seed companies, they missed some, so I emailed them more than once, but they never responded. There is nobody there; it seems to be a money-collecting venture. :x

I am willing to be corrected on anything I've said here.

While there are "honorable" sites that charge to be a part of, I refuse to pay for information that most gardeners are willing to share for free. As in all gardening tips you have to sort through what is usable for each person's situation, that is still necessary from the "paid for" sites. Does paying for opinions make them any more accurate than the free opinion I am willing to give?

With a little time invested in research the truth is out there for free. Or maybe in my tottering old age there is just more time available.
