Almatinsky Trikolore is a new to me tomato that I am impressed with. Mine are a deep pink (clear skin) tomato with green shoulders, some zippers and cracking. When you slice into it, it is just gorgeous with deep yellow and green. It has an assertive, complex, bold flavor that is more acidic (tart) than sweet but it has enough sweetness to it to make your palate want more. It's not sour but what I would call zippy. I love the punch of the zippiness followed by the taste of the sweet.

Hooper,

You mentioned sour, so there has to be a bit of sour involved.

It's like when seeing a fin stick out of the water, there has to be a ...

Yes, a fake shark.

Which has me wondering if the above tomato is really a black, and not a pink? Them dark tomatoes can sometimes trick one, by having different colors in different seasons.

I tasted no lemons in this fruit so it can't be sour. It is a sweet tart Brody. I checked the skin and it was clear, the flesh underneath it was red as can be except for that annoying olive green on it's shoulders.

When I look closer at that pic, I do see the oceans swirling around. By gosh and by golly I think Danny just may have hooked that fin. I see three little boys playing in there. Could that fin be them?
