Hello from Denmark

Hi fellow Tomato nerds :)

I am brand new to this space, but I have grown tomatoes for many years. I am on a life-long hunt for the top 3 tomato varieties in each group (cherry, plum, sugo, beef, etc) - a quest that I will never accomplish, needless to say :) But the journey is good fun and the destination not so important anymore :)

I live in Denmark, Northern Europe, in zone 8, and I also cross-polinate a handful of my own varieties.

I love to swap seeds :)

Hi Stine,
Welcome on board. I guess we have similar growing conditions.

The five 'groups' I work to are Cherry, Early, Cooking, Outdoor and Novelty! I particularly like varieties which tick more than one of these.

What is you definition of 'Sugo'?

Welcome from America's Dairyland!

Zone 8 @56° N? Whouda thunk it.

A pal and former neighbor, Dr. T. Douglass Price (Ancient Scandinavia: An Archaeological History from the First Humans to the Vikings) spends ~ half the year there.

Welcome to the Junction @StineRosenbeck. I have been on a similar quest for many many years. It's one that you never will know if you have already reached or if you have to keep trying more.

Welcome to the Junction, Stine!

I highly recommend that you start a new thread, asking people, here, about their ONE favorite variety from each group that you're searching for.
Those ONE AND ONLY favorites, which will give you a long enough list, for each group, are the ones to trial.

If you want more than that, I kind of host a seed swap.
