Hi I'm new here, I'm from Michigan and relatively new to growing tomatoes from seed. Lauren sent me and I'm so excited to be here
Welcome to the Friendliest Gardening Forum, Let's grow together!!!

I have 28 varieties this year of heirloom, dwarf and yes my one hybrid sungold lol that I started from seed. My plants look beautiful but I'm not getting many tomatos...it's a learning yearTX-TomatoBug wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 5:08 pm Welcome to the Junction, @Npowers! I'm in central Texas where it's currently 100% and sunny.
I've lightly played with growing from seed a few times over the last decades. But will be diving in deep growing open-pollinated and heirlooms (oh, ok, except for the hybrid Sungold ) from seed for 2025. Will be growing a variety of dwarves (most from the Dwarf Tomato Project) and two or three heirlooms TBD. All in containers.
That Sungold! The only one my not-a-tomato-fan-husband says I have to grow every year. Am planning to try Dwarf Eagle Smiley next year as a possible substitute - have you tried that?Npowers wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 7:49 pmI have 28 varieties this year of heirloom, dwarf and yes my one hybrid sungold lol that I started from seed.
