Chia cuke
What happens when you just add water and wait 3 weeks with a mummified Tasty Green variety cuke that I let overripe on the vine then mummify over the winter in an unheated porch.
Just like in nature.
The seedlings actually pull out easily/cleanly since they aren't in soil yet just rotten cuke carcass.
I may do the survival of the fittest mode to see which ones make it. I already have enough store bought seeds that are up already so this clump is extra.

Re: Chia cuke
I put it out in the direct sun to get sunscald to thin out the herd, but that plan may backfire since it was previously under a hurt your eyes LED grow light.
They are starting to keel over so I may just sprinkle potting soil on top like a dog covering it's feces.
