walmart miracle grow 5lb / $10
I don't use the stuff. But this sounds like a good price? I can't figure if the regular price is really $20, or not.

$10 for 5 lbs is a good price, though $20 is probably an exaggeration as the regular price. Regular price for 4.25lbs at Home Depot near me is $9.97, so basically the same price but you get a little more product from Walmart.

Okay, thanks, my bad for posting. slickdeals.net is not what it was 5 years back when it comes to real deals, but I guess nothing is like it was in 2019.
Is this something that would be good to have on hand for "just in case", that in ground plant looks like it needs help? I couldn't figure the actual potency of it. Versus 10 10 10 granular. Looked like it said 1 or 2 TBSP per gallon of water for in ground plants.
I'll probably pick some up just to have some I guess.

i do keep it on hand and I do use it on my indoor plants. I find that using organics inside can help to promote mold and insects. It does give immediate results, so would be good to use for an ailing plant outdoors. I would never use more than 1 TBSP per gallon.JRinPA wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 8:28 pm Okay, thanks, my bad for posting. slickdeals.net is not what it was 5 years back when it comes to real deals, but I guess nothing is like it was in 2019.

Re: walmart miracle grow 5lb / $10
I'm glad you posted it. I didn't go to Walmart for the extra .75lb, but I did buy the 4.25lb container at Home Depot yesterday. We've been using a small amount of 10-10-10 or 5-10-10 on the planting beds for years now, and the most recent soil test came back with phosphorus levels above optimum. This Miracle Gro formulation is 24-8-16, so I'm going to try using it early in the season instead of the 10-10-10 to avoid pumping up the phosphorus, and then switch to something with lower nitrogen later in the season.
We generally douse the roots of our transplants with a Miracle Gro solution when we put them in the planting hole, before adding back the soil. Seems to give them a good start.

Thanks, good info. 24 8 16. So not to push fruiting, but for green growth and roots. I should pick some up.
This is what people refer to as "the blue stuff", is that correct?

Miracle Gro is the most common "blue stuff," but many of the water-soluble plant food products from various brands are blue. Different "blue stuff" products can have very different NPK ratios, so be sure to read the labels to know what you're getting.

Re: walmart miracle grow 5lb / $10
I've purchased it four times at Walmart.com over the last few years. These are the prices I paid per five-pound-container:
• $9.96
• $12.22
• $9.98
• $9.48
The price has possibly been higher, but those were the times when I purchased it.
