Well here we are again, another year in the pursuit of wonderful peppers and tomatoes! Here are a few of this year’s initial spring pictures feat. Georgie and some garlic in grow bags. The cover crop is flourishing and making a huge difference in the garlic size as compared to this time last year! Plant list to follow when finalized.

Well that flew by… I guess I’ll start at the beginning of the summer. Here are some gorgeous flowers and a new raised bed made partially with recycled materials! George is always at the window when I’m working in the garden.

Next we have growth throughout our very hot and dry summer and some pictures of the community garden which hosted a garden Q&A as well as a prayer rock painting event this year!

We had an outstanding year for zinnias, banana peppers, pepperoncini peppers, and cucumbers.

Maximal garden growth ensued with an abundance of herbs, more things to pickle and seeds from fun tomato grow outs were saved!

I would like to take a moment to show off the world’s most enthusiastic tomato taste tester, Georgie. Always an eager participant even though he refused to eat a tomato after all that begging.

The heartbreaking update of this summer is that after almost dying in December and a miraculous recovery, Georgie became chronically ill and severely anemic. We spent most of this year in and out of vet offices trying to find the source. Over Labor Day weekend, we had to say goodbye to our handsome, fiercely loving, incredible dog. He will always be remembered for his extreme love of all things outdoors and woodsy exploration. Gardening will never be as complete without him moving the curtains aside to watch me dig in the front garden bed. I’ll be missing him for a long time to come <3

It’s so damn hard to lose a pet. He was one handsome guy.

Thank you ❤️ we only had him in our lives for a year and two weeks, but those were some of the best moments for our little family. His absence is like a massive void in our lives right now 😔
