What is the rose?
To the left of each thread is a squiggly thing (a snail?). It is red if there are unread posts in the thread and black if there are not but what is that red rose on some of them? Some also have a little star beside the snail.
What do these things mean?

Re: What is the rose?
I believe the little star means that you have posted in that thread.
I was thinking the rose was a bullseye, but can't really tell. Either way, I'm not sure what that one means.

The rose means it's a hot topic or popular topic!

Re: What is the rose?
I was thinking that might be what it is, but when I looked at active topics many didn't have the rose. I guess active and hot aren't the same.

Re: What is the rose?
Thanks for the explanations.
I like the red or black colors and the little star makes sense but the rose does not seem useful to me.

I don't use it either but it must be popular, most forums have an active topic icon or button.

Re: What is the rose?
How about the little red squares that sometimes appear?

Don't worry about the rose.
Just stare into it.
Deeeeeply.

Where? Next to the post number that looks like a sheet of paper? It means new post. The crazy looking upside down ice cream paddle is a sticky thread.
