Not gonna happen...The Gotch has any number of
Black Beauty and
Gold Rush Zukes standing a post...they'll take home more than they brought...

I wish a neighbor would sneak some onto my porch. This is the first time in about 15 years that I didn't get around to planting any. One neighbor did bring over an Italian meat sauce, served over zucchini, rather than pasta, a few days ago. That was heavenly. There is no such thing as a zuke too big, as long as a knife cuts through the skin easily. One just has to scoop out the middle.
It's either going to be the supermarket or the farmer's market on Thursday, to get my fix.

Haven't grown them in years.
But I did load a favorite neighbor up with mystery cucumbers once.

Too late for this morning's haul, photo-bombed by an Amish Paste and a few Guido Heirlooms:

i would actually take some zucchini.
my striata di italia refused to grow.
three tries with long white from palermo, grandpas old neck of the woods.
i have only just picked three golden zucchini, and a volunteer scallop or hybrid
has several small ones almost big enough to pick.
summer squash is pretty much a no brainer for me. musta lost my brain this year because
i can't grow it.

I take my extra Zucchini to the local Fire Station. They welcome them with open arms.

Shredding and drying Zukes to beat the band, here, for freezing; the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch has hit upon a new method that's a Game Changer!

Letting them drain overnight in a strainer, then keeping them wrapped in a thin dish towel and inside a Vejibag (
https://www.vejibag.com/) for a coupla days in the fridge; dries them down marvelously!
EDIT: We took some Space Hybrid Spinach up north last year in a Vejibag, didn't use it all, brought the rest back and it was still fresh ~ eight (8) days later!

Okay, I misunderstood, thought you were talking about drying them, like in a dehydrator. How do you like those vegibags?
