They have to be weaned into the sun.

I may have lucked out.
Previously,I was doing the 3 card monte with my plants under various grow lights and the damage seems to be confined to the perimeter leaves that didn't get the direct hurt your eyes LED lighting.

I used florescent lights for 25 years to grow my seedlings indoors, but always had to get them used to sunlight gradually over a period of 6-7 days or I would get what you are describing. Don't think it makes any difference between LED or florescent in this regard. The leaves get sunburn either way. Part of the "hardening off" process.

not as bad as originally thought.
I was doing the 3 card monte with the plants, LED to fluorescent and only a few outer leaves got burned.
The LED plants went directly into the sun and are bigger than greenhouse plants they are selling locally.
A few greenhouse bought plants the size of your fist have sunscald,so even the pros foul up.
I have inverted old resin chairs with glass over them to wean the smaller non LED plants,since glass blocks UV.
With some mesh fabric as added protection.

I had plants that were used to direct sunlight but got frost damage 2 weeks ago.
I brought them indoors for 1 week for intensive care under gro lites
I cut off the dead ends.
Last week I put them outdoors again and they promptly got sunscald.
So the plants built in sunscreen apparently wears off fast when they go from outdoors to indoors to outdoors again.

definitely a survival of the fittest type situation.
Not dramatically bad, so they should be fine.
