My Sun Sugar is still going strong

My plants all died except my Sun Sugar which is still growing and producing some fruit.
It's grown over the top of my 6 foot trellis and cascades down to the ground. Never had a plant grow like this one.

Holy *Bleep*, what kind of tree is that?! Are you telling me that's ONE plant?

Wow, did you prune that at all over it's life? As I recall you were pruning to 4 leaders, did that start out pruned and you let it go later?

I started growing tomatoes with Sun Gold; last year I grew Sun Gold, Sun Sugar, and Honeycomb Hybrid (among others). Last year was a tough season but I didn't find the Sun Sugar to be significantly different than Sun Gold, and I think this year I'm only going to grow Honeycomb Hybrid for my orange cherry--it seemed to do a little better on balance.

I didn't grow that one this winter, but Sun Sugar and Sun Gold usually do pretty well for me. That's a huge plant, beautiful.

@QAGUY "Never had a plant grow like this one."

Supersweet 100 might outpace that.

I'm glad to know that it's so hardy for you and yes, this can get to be a huge plant. Not only does it taste good but now we are all enjoying it through your pictures! One could plant a hedge out of them.

That looks great! A lot older than mine ever get, I'm sure, but it's amazing how large they get! One grape tomato got even larger than the sunsugar, but nothing like the sunsugar as far as production! And the best snack while gardening!

I prunded most of the summer and then just let it do it's own thing. Yes, it started out as 4 main leaders.

I grew SS100. but it didn't grow quite like this one. It succumbed to disease.

Stopped pruning and let it go wild. Stopped pruning when I needed a ladder to prune it.
