Muskmelons with the longest shelf-life
I've grew Valencia Winter melon, which keeps for a long time. The fruits are tiny and hard, though. The taste was okay.
I heard that Kirkman was a winter muskmelon. So, I tried it. Sometimes it keeps fairly well; it has large fruit, with great taste, but the shelf-life isn't super long or anything. The fruits take a long time to set and mature.
My favorite so far is Orangeflesh Honeydew from Baker Creek. Although the fruits were small and hard for me, they had great taste and kept a very long time. They were very sweet.
Which ones do you know about that keep extra well?
