New from CT

Found this site after reading a reddit post on turmoil within the TV community a while back. I've lurked and posted on/off since way back on GardenWeb days. I am a small home gardener in CT. I started years ago when my kids outgrew a sandbox we had built in their play area. I overtook it and made a square foot garden. Once they outgrew the play area, we took apart their swing-set, recycled some of the boards in our 30 x 40 garden filled with raised beds.
I grow 12 - 16 tomatoes, give our take a year. Always includes 2 Sunsugar although I may switch that up. I keep my garden plans year after year, sort of keep track of fruits pulled, some notes - NO!, ate by chipmunks, died- nothing real note worthy.
I also grow garlic, beans, jalapenos, peppers, herbs, beet, carrot, squashes, lettuce, bok choy, cucumber. New to me this year was the addition of 2 rhubarb in the enclosure, 4 out - all will be out next year. I also added asparagus and hope to be able to taste a few next year. In past years, I've grown broccoli and spinach but look to get the most out of my space space so gave up on them.
I don't post often, I am more of a lurker, reader, and suck up info that I might apply to my growing.
Nice to be here!
