black hungarian pepper
i am growing black hungarian for the first time. i managed to awaken
eight year old seeds. i was surprised at its pretty purple flower.
i just upgraded to quart size yogurt containers. i am getting small peppers
already, and the plants had outgrown their 9oz solo cups. sweet heat is how
the taste is described. has anyone else grown it, and what did you think about it?

I grew it in 2010. We dried and ground it into powder. Made a nice paprika.

Re: black hungarian pepper
good to hear the positive reviews.
it seems to be an earlier to fruit variety. i am letting it fruit right away because
my main goal is fresh seeds vs any decrease in future production. once the weather
turns warmer, the two plants will go into individual pots. no chance of cross pollination
with these early peppers. it was the only one blooming.
indian finger, another one i started from eight year old seeds is a taller plant, but just
now forming buds.
