I have never had their grilled sandwich but I LOVE the fried one. Not that I get them often because I do not want to wait in a long line to get one.

If you haven't had one yet and love spicy food it's a must try sandwich. This is the spiciest sandwich I've eaten and makes Popeyes seem too mild. Don't worry about the lines, they move quick, I had about 10 cars in front of me and it was just as fast at any normal fast food place with 3 cars. They really know how to handle the traffic.

Well, that depends on just how long the line is, lol. In my town, the line goes out the Chick Filet parking lt and down the mall parking lot. I got stuck in it one time because I had already place a mobile order and it took 30+ minutes to get through it, closer to 45. If I get there earlier when there are only cars or so, I go through. If the lines are too long, I place the mobile order as a pick-up inside and I am in and out in a few minutes.

The "regular" chicken sandwich is the best ever. We would have to drive a couple of hours from home but when we are on the road visiting, Chick-Fil-A is the place.

I like thier chicken sandwhiches but I really like the chicken torilla soup, which is spicey also, and the Southwestern Salad with Avacado lime dressing. The Avacado lime dressing suprises me sometime being much hotter than others. I am thinking I probably need to shake or knead those salad dressing packets and see if the consistency of heat improves. I really have not had anything there that I didn't like, and their regular spicey chicken sandwich is pretty good.

Chick-Fil-A has been around for a long time. I wanted to try it as a teen.
There was one that opened in 2002 - 25 or so miles away. Eventually we went there about 10 years ago, and yeah, the fried sandwich was really good. It wasn't worth driving that far to get, but it was really good.
For years, I was hoping that Cleburne would get a Chick-Fil-A, and they finally did in late 2020. They bought a whole city block to build it. The lines of traffic took up 3 sides of that city block. They vehicles were upper and wannabe class. Yeah, I was thinking the sandwiches must be even better than I remembered. It stayed busy like that for months. I wanted a chicken sandwich from there, but a line that long is crazy, and Jan doesn't like chicken sandwiches.
Churches came out with a chicken sandwich around the end of 2020 - as well as Wendy's, Popeyes, Golden Chick, and Jack-in-the-Box. The Internet calls it a chicken sandwich war. Popeyes and Golden Chick flopped locally a few years ago. I tried Wendy's and my cats would eat it. There was Jack-in the-box - no. So that left Churches. I tried it there and it was good.
Finally one day in January, we got in a short line for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich. There were people at the ordering place that were taking our order and cell phoning it in like it's something special. We drove out to a local park, and Chick-Fil-A sandwiches are not very good at all.

I watched the whole video. It's great, the sandwich made my mouth water. Curious, what was the liquid smoke for? Did I miss seeing it used?

Chick-Fil-A , to quote Yogi Berra, “No one goes there nowadays, it’s too crowded.” There could be three in our town side by side and I still think they’d be too busy. I did get the spicy grilled chicken sandwich there about a month ago, had to be in the drive thru by 11:00. It was surprisingly spicy.

I watched the whole video too.
Was the chili paste not Gochujang?
It comes in different heat levels.

I was testing a few different recipes and used the liquid smoke to try to get the grilled flavor.

Yes that was Gochujang and it was the #3 level. I made about 10 of these sandwiches trying to get the heat level right. I started with Sriracha and cayenne but it still wasn't hot enough. I also tried to use products that are available everywhere.
