New to TJ.

Hello, I am happy to finally find this site and recognize some familiar handles from the other forum I belong to. I live in Calgary, Canada, and it is a challenging zone 3a without a greenhouse as there are mostly cool nights, a short season, high altitude and lots of harsh winds, but lots of sun and dry, so not much problems with mould or vermin. After 8 years I have compiled a pretty stellar roster of hardy winners, but it is impossible to not try new ones, plus some accidental crosses have been wondrous. I am not a big poster but rest assured I appreciate these forums and the information people kindly provide, along with very generous seed offers. It has made a big difference in my world.

It's always exciting to have more members from elevations higher than mine. (Not that mine is terribly high—but it's high enough that I have an interest in paying attention to high-elevation tomatoes, since tomatoes for lower elevation can seem to drop their blossoms and/or young fruits a lot more easily with the temperature shifts).
