Gorgeous!!!

I had blue, yellow and white varieties at my old house. Before we moved, we put plants that we wanted to keep in a holding area (clearing in our woods) at our new house. The yellow and white Baptisia were fairly new plants and still small so I hoped they'd survive transplant. Only the yellow Baptisia survived and the deer keep eating the flowers before it forms seeds. This year I'm protecting it with wire and hope to collect seeds and start a plant for my garden. Wish I still had that white one. I bought seeds for the blue again.

I bought 3 Baptista last year when I turned my veggie garden over into a perennial/hummingbird/butterfly garden due to the deer eating all but one Black Cherry tomato. I had a wild blue one at my old house which I loved, so when I saw these, I just had to have them. I have the yellow, the native blue and a named blue variety too. The native did not bloom this year and the other only has one blossom. Next year ought to be a great show. I sure do love these plants. So far the deer have not bothered mine nor those down the street. If I get seeds I will be happy to share.

My Lemon Meringue is just gorgeous this year. It is definitely the focal point of the garden right now.
