This was the most common orchid today, several thousand seen.

One of the bird orchids seen also, will try to get a better photo tomorrow. Sun orchids also seen, but not open today, along with a couple of potato orchids, which are brown and non- descript.

Dianella are one of our native lilies that are wide spread. There is one species here, flowers are relatively small but beautiful.
Fruit are blue berries

Got home from Mt Baw Baw today and found 18 mm/0..72 inch in the rain gauge plus a few cucumbers, having given away about 10 to our friends, nicely restocked
Plus found a few tomatoes, a dinner plates worth actually of 42 days, which the grubs like so will have to net in future and some red and yellow Sirja's Love cherries.

Beetroot are doing well, cannot remember which variety the red one is, but it went 288 g/10.15 Oz, the Egyptian flat weighed in around the 190 g/6.8 Oz.

Must have been a bit of wind here one day while we were away, the Cosmos plants which were gifted to the wife were over 1 meter 3 ft 4 inches tall and reasonably well locked together I thought. Ummm, no. Need to get some stakes in there tomorrow

I could be wrong but they are all falling in more than one direction so I think that something was trying to take some shelter in there.

That is a possibility I hadn't considered, there are rabbits/hares about, but don't know if they would be strong enough to do that.

I thought the same thing. I've seen this in my garden from time to time, which doesn't seem wind related. (wind blows everything down in the same direction, and you can see it right through the garden.) Never did figure out what animal it could be but hares are certainly present, maybe that's it.

Maybe, I don't have one so would need to pick one up, working out where to locate it could also be a problem as no posts nearby

Second pick of the Willow peas has yielded one kilogram in shell, plants were done so they were pulled out and feed to the compost bins.

Took Mum and both brothers some cucumbers yesterday as we had Mums 80th birthday and Mum and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary celebration (good get together for a lot of the family). Left ourselves 4 Crystal Apple cucumbers, should have taken 3 more down to off load as there is at least 4 more Crystal Apple and 5 more green supermarket cucumbers that could be picked anytime.

Got a couple of areas cleaned up and weeded tonight, hopefully will get more done tomorrow and be able to hoe a couple of small beds and get a few late beans and peas in.

Congratulations to your parents - 60 years together is wonderful.

Don't need a post. Pickles uses an old defunct pressure washer that is a bit heavy and has wheels. She wheels it to where she wants the game cam and straps it to the handle of the washer. It makes a great mobile camera post!

Picked those cucumbers again yesterday
4 long green supermarket, 7 muncher sized Lebanese, a solo contential and 9 Apple cucumbers. Also a few more 42days tomatoes, along with one Volvo's Apple Cherry, a few mini red Roma and some that are from a self down plant, probably Everglades .

Pulled a few more beetroot tonight, all cylindria variety, largest going 146g/5.2 Oz

@Whwoz; are those itty bitty Tomatoes the 42 Day? I got some free seeds from Seeds-n-Such and am wondering if the juice'll be worth the squeeze.

And ain't it ding nigh Garlic pullin' time down under, 'cause it will be ~ six (6) months up this way.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg I grew those 42 day tomatoes one year, I think from Tradewinds Fruit, and they were barely faster than the Sunsugar that year. And a determinate, but not a large producer, and OK flavor, but nothing special. So I only grew it that one year.

The 42 days are about golf ball size and like @pepperhead212 says, nothing special. Second time growing them, hoping for a hotter summer to see if they improved any over last year. Still waiting for that hot summer

In relation to garlic, harvest time is September through to December, depending upon group. Saying that I still have some porcelains in the ground hoping that they will flower and be pollinated. All plants are showing flowers, need to check progress.

@Whwoz When do you's plant? We have a ~ nine (9) month gestation period in these here parts.
