@GoDawgs, that is one source that I have seen before. Over on the Open Source Seed Initiative forum, and before that was up and running the old Homegrown Goodness forum there are a number of threads about peoples efforts in various locations around the globe to start producing garlic from seed. The grower that I prefer here has half a dozen lines or more that are seed grown and there are a number elsewhere that I understand have commercial lines from true seed, not that I can recall exactly who at the moment although Joseph Lofthouse is most likely one. A few more links:

Fabulous weather here, 65-75 F with only rain in forecast is for Friday and Saturday, lot a lot but useful for the garlic, the first lots of which are already up

Another five lots of chili/pepper/capsicum seed (Nocturne, Corbaci, Tequila Sunrise, Golden Treasure and Diamond) turned up today plus the tomato Sart Roloise. Interesting to see how that one turns out.

With frost potential starting to show in the forecast, I had better take cuttings from the various sweet potatoes I have and want to keep growing. Lots of flowers on the new ones, but doubt if the rats have left me any roots. Time to find out, also see if any seed set.

A bit more seed turned up yesterday, mostly tomato with a goodly number of the tetra-cis-lycopene varieties. First time from this supplier, very happy with them, they even have seed saving dates and germination percentages on the backs of the packs.

@Whwoz what vendor was this and are they mentioned on the list of vendors?

Tasmanian Natural Garlic and Tomatoes @MissS . They are one of the recent additions that people are referred to by Patrina Nuske-Small for purchase of DTP seed here in Oz.

Some more seeds arrived today, this time only a couple of tomatoes and peppers and a few other odd veggies, mainly flowers or "Bee Food" as I think of them these days. Boondie Seeds does a package of 12 varieties of Zinnias, 30 - 50 seeds per pack, for only $12.95. Hard to resist so I didn't.

Crazy weather here, forecast low is for 4C/39F, Mrs walked outside about 8 pm came back in claiming that there was ice on her car, I walked outside about 1/2 hr later and it's raining. Only plant that may get tickled by frost in garden are the seed grown sweet potatoes, so I quickly grabbed 4 or 5 cuttings of each and have them in water on kitchen windowsill.

Life went a bit crazy here yesterday afternoon. I was putting some meat into our 320lt chest freezer and light was going buzz, a bit of a play with it, then decided to remove and next thing, bang - arc flash around light socket and circuit breaker tripped. Mad flurry to relocate contents to other freezers, bait freezer contents donated to yabbies and 7 kg blackberries made into jam. Everything back under control, breathe deep.

On brighter note concretor has given estimate for pad for greenhouse plus a fair bit more and excavator fellow will be here to look over things on Friday, best part of 3 days work for him I reckon.

Concrete pad will be heat storage mass, and moderate your temperatures. I bet you'll be laughing in there all winter long!

I hope so @Bower. Heat storage is a bonus, ground here has no drainage to speak of when it gets full so having a solid base put down is a must.

Local weather station only half a degree off frost at 7:30 this morning, think we might have been a degree or two higher than that, but still cool. Excavator man here this afternoon, should be able to start next week. Yippee

Three out of the five lots of sweet potato cuttings have started to form roots. Other than that only prep work for excevations and concreting happening here over last couple of days

Had a pleasant surprise when I walked over to the sweet potato patch today. Yesterday morning was obviously cold enough to tickle up the leaves of most plants, revealing seed pods

This is on a purple skinned and fleshed sweet potato
Need to work out the best way to allow these too mature

Found quite a few pods on two clones, SSR 1 and SSR 6.. Both have heart shaped leaves and purple skin and flesh to the roots. The first seeds are fully mature although some useless klutz managed to drop one of his only two picked so far.

All five lots of sweet potato slips have roots on them, need to get them potted up, but everything taking a back seat to machine works. Today's effort was cleaning up the dam bank of its oversupply of blackberry plants. Operator has done a great job of this and has moved into neighbouring unmade lane. Will pull him back tomorrow so that we can put in a water supply pipe under driveway and under an area that will have a concrete slab poured over it.
